Kayla McBride, a senior at Chino Hills Ayala High, won the Division 1 girls title in the 400 meters in 53.81 seconds at the CIF-Southern Section championship meet at Moorpark High in California. McBride also placed second in the 200-meter final in a wind-aided 23.72 seconds, in addition to contributing to third-place efforts in both the 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay in 46.48 and 3:51.67, respectively.
