Marcus Monroe, a senior at Ayala, won the boys long jump title on his final attempt with a wind-legal mark of 22-6.50 (6.87m) and cleared a personal-best 6-10 (2.08m) in the high jump, but was edged by Darius Hill of Vista Murrieta based on fewer attempts at the CIF Southern Section Division 1 Finals at Trabuco Hills High. Monroe helped Ayala tie for sixth place overall with 28 points.
